The Animated Series' Creator Has Seen Fans' Season 2 Predictions β And She Has Positive Updates
The highly-awaited second season of the adult animated musical series Hazbin Hotel launches on Prime Video soon, and audience theories has been rampant.
The first season introduces a large cast of characters living within Hell and Heaven, sets them at odds accompanied by songs about their clashes, and builds tense rivalries and emotional bonds that fuel audience devotion.
The fandom's stated hopes for season 2 differ greatly, but certain threads emerge over and over: Will Angel Dust break free from Valentino? Might we learn more about the binding agreement constraining the enigmatic Alastor? Will [favorite character] and [other character] finally get together?
"Obviously, I don't make the show with fan service specifically in mind," the creator commented recently. "But I believe that me being a devotee of the series means there's a lot of it just naturally. I also want to see these things, and I want some of these things to happen, and clearly some of these things are meant to happen in the show!"
The creator reveals her big-picture plan is for a five-season run of Hazbin Hotel. Future installments have already been green-lit by the production companies, which finance the series.
That could imply viewers have to wait years for some of the major resolutions β but they could be shocked at how quickly the new season moves, and how many of what they're waiting for unfolds now.
"I feel like people are going to be highly satisfied," she adds. "We get some firsts. I think we get some incredible disclosures, some really cool backstories, and even basic elements, [like] I hope this character gets a song. [β¦] Audiences will experience much more singing from the characters we didn't get to hear before."
The creator is well-informed of the guesses and hopes about the upcoming season β especially in the form of fan bingo cards.
"I've come across a few fans make a prediction grid about the new season," she mentions. "Obviously I won't share it, but I've already completed a few items, and nearly every one of them have almost a bingo. I thought, Oh, if you put this [event] in this spot, it would be a bingo. So that makes me think we do a lot [of what fans are waiting for in this season], because I was like, Oh, there's multiple potential bingos on this card. So that brings me joy."
Hazbin Hotel the second season premieres on Prime Video on Oct. 29.
