Nearly twenty-five thousand households in south-east Queensland woke up without power on Monday morning after powerful weather events swept through the state, producing strong winds reaching 109km/h.

Substantial Hailstones and Extensive Destruction

Residents reported large ice chunks as large as 7cm in certain regions. The Bureau of Meteorology announced that different parts across the state had been hit with significant hail.
