Two more people have been arrested in connection with a robbery at Heathrow Airport in which 21 people sustained injuries by what is thought to be an irritant spray, according to law enforcement.

A 24-year-old man, was arrested in the Lambeth area for suspected robbery and assault and a 23-year-old woman was detained for suspected conspiring to commit a robbery. They both remain in custody, the force said.

These detentions come after a probe into an attack at the multi-level parking garage at Heathrow's Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Prior to the incident, a pair of female travelers were robbed of their luggage upon exiting a car park lift.

A toddler aged three was one of the injured in the event. A total of five individuals went to hospital for medical care and have since been released.

Police arrested a 31-year-old man for suspected theft and assault near the location. He has since been released pending further inquiries as the investigation proceeds.

Authorities were alerted at approximately 8:10 in the morning GMT after reports came in regarding a number of people hurt by an irritating chemical thought to be an irritant spray.

The assault - an event that authorities stated was isolated and not considered terrorism - caused delays to rail services and the partial closure of the main airport tunnel and the Terminal 3 parking facility for a short time.
